The Dietitian PRN functions as a member of the multi‑disciplinary healthcare team to screen newly‑admitted patients to identify those at nutritional risk. The Dietitian PRN provides total nutritional care and education to patients across the facility.

• Assess the nutritional needs of patients and develop and implement nutritional care plans in accordance with physician diagnoses and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate pertinent nutritional information through documentation and verbally with other care team providers.
• Develop and maintain regular and therapeutic meals/menus.
• Provide nutrition counseling to adolescent, adult, geriatric and terminally ill patients as well as their families or significant others.
• Participate in projects, committees and task forces to improve department and hospital processes and patient care outcomes.
• Stay current with most recent nutrition‑related trends, research, policy, certifications and standards of practice.

• Bachelor’s Degree required;
  Master’s Degree with a concentration in Nutrition preferred.
• Licensed Dietitian in Florida, in accordance with law and regulation.
• Registered Dietitian status with the Commission in Dietetic Registration required.
• One year of clinical dietitian experience preferred, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
