Mental Health Therapist, Behavioral Health, Baptist Downtown
The Behavioral Health team at Baptist Health is looking for a qualified Mental Health Therapist to work in our adult‑focused Bridge Clinic located at our downtown campus.
This is a full‑time day shift (Monday‑Friday) role performed in‑office.
The therapist will focus on the evaluation, treatment, and support of the mental and emotional well‑being of older adults dealing with dementia, depression, anxiety, grief, or cognitive‑related behavioral disturbances.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting intake and assessment
- Assigning diagnoses and developing treatment plans for patients referred for mental health services
- Providing evidence‑based, clinically necessary treatment
- Completing authorization requests and maintaining up‑to‑date medical records
- Maintaining state professional licensure and credentialing with insurance panels
- Developing rapport with patients and assessing and diagnosing using DSM criteria
- Documenting treatment progress in accordance with Joint Commission standards
- Efficient use of EMR
A valid Florida LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT license is required. Registered interns will not be considered.
Education Required: Master’s Degree
Education Preferred: Doctorate
Experience: 1‑2 years Clinical Experience
License and Certification:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
