Staff Pharmacist, HCA Florida Memorial Hospital.
This is a part-time, 2-3 evening (2:30p-11p) shifts per week, Staff Pharmacist position working in our centralized Inpatient Pharmacy alongside other evening and night shift Pharmacists.

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and monitoring drug therapy in patients of all ages for safety, appropriateness and cost effectiveness upon receiving written or verbal medication orders from the physician.
What you will do in this roleAccurately enter medication orders on the computerized pharmacy profile. Review patient profile for allergy, drug‑drug, drug‑food, drug‑disease interventions, and duplicate therapy and validate that all medication for patients of all ages are filled with the proper drug, dosage form, strength and quantity.
Contact and confer with physician if there are any questions or clarifications to avoid generic and therapeutic drug duplication or the prescribing of ineffective drug regimen. Identify interventions on the computerized pharmacy profile and evaluate laboratory and microbiology data to ensure appropriate age‑specific response to medications.
Compound or supervise the preparation of IV admixtures, epidural pain TPN and chemotherapy as required following aseptic technique and recommended safety precautions with the horizontal or vertical laminar airflow hood.
Recognize, report, document and seek appropriate intervention for signs and symptoms of adverse drug reactions, drug interactions, or medication allergies per department and hospital policy.
