The Dietitian PRN functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to screen newly-admitted patients to identify those at nutritional risk. The Dietitian PRN provides total nutritional care and education to patients across the facility.

What you will do in this role:

• You will assess the nutritional needs of patients and develop and implement nutritional care plans in accordance with the physician’s diagnoses and requirements of regulatory agencies.

• You will communicate information pertinent to the nutritional care of the patient through documentation in the patient's medical records and verbally with other care team providers.

• You will develop and maintain regular and therapeutic meals/menus.

• You will provide nutrition counseling to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients plus the terminally ill patients as well as their families or significant others.

• You will actively participate in projects, committees and task forces to improve department and hospital processes and patient care outcomes.

• You will stay current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications and standards of practice.

What qualifications you may need:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required; A Master’s Degree with a concentration in Nutrition is preferred

• Must be licensed as a Dietitian in Florida, in accordance with law and regulation

• Registered Dietitian status with the Commission in Dietetic Registration is required

• 1 year of Clinical Dietitian experience is preferred, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
