Dietetic Technicians

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dietetic Technician to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality nutrition care. In this role, you will collaborate with registered dietitians and healthcare teams to assess, plan, and implement dietary plans for patients and clients. Your contributions will play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the assessment of patients nutritional needs under the supervision of a registered dietitian.
• Develop and implement meal plans, ensuring they align with medical and nutritional guidelines.
• Educate patients, clients, and their families about proper nutrition and dietary habits.
• Monitor patients' food intake, tolerance, and dietary progress, and report findings to the dietitian.
• Work with food service teams to ensure meals meet prescribed dietary requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of nutritional assessments and meal plans.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote nutrition awareness.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Dietetic Technology, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Current Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) credential preferred or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare or food service environment.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and nutritional software is a plus.
