Community Nurse Educator – Pediatric Diabetes Center

Full Time Day Shift – Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Baptist Health

• Provides education for children diagnosed with diabetes and their families, both inpatient and outpatient.
• Provides patient education on an outpatient basis as needed when seen in clinic.
• Supports endocrinologists during clinic visits, ensuring families are comfortable with the child’s meter.
• Attends community events to promote the Diabetes Center, coordinates with school nurses to educate them on diabetes management, and serves as a community resource for education and training.

Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing

Master’s Degree

• 3–5 years experience working with children with diabetes

• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) – Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse – Required
• Licensed Dietitian – Required
