Bariatric Medicine Physician Assistant

Baptist Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our rapidly growing Obesity Medicine & Bariatric Weight Loss Program in Jacksonville, Florida.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary program focused on evidence-based, patient-centered obesity care, supporting patients through medical weight management, lifestyle intervention, and bariatric surgery pathways.

• Outpatient bariatric and obesity medicine practice

• Day shift schedule with work-life balance

• Collaborative, team-based care model

• Combination of in-person and telemedicine visits

• Growing program with opportunity to shape care pathways

• Provide comprehensive obesity medicine care, including medical weight management and lifestyle intervention

• Perform holistic patient evaluations (weight history, comorbidities, contributing factors, and barriers to weight loss)

• Collaborate closely with dietitians, wellness coaches, and behavioral health specialists

• Manage obesity-related medical conditions and optimize medications to support weight loss

• Support patients pursuing bariatric surgery through education and pre-surgical optimization

• Provide long-term follow-up for post-bariatric surgery patients, including management of weight regain

• Participate in program expansion initiatives to improve surgical outcomes and reduce risk

• Patient-centered, compassionate, and team-oriented

• Understands obesity as a chronic and complex medical condition

• Interested in obesity medicine and ongoing professional development

• Enjoys a dynamic, evolving clinical environment

• Master s degree required (DNP preferred for NPs)

• Certified and licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

• New graduates welcome (less than 1 year experience accepted)
