Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our Sterile Processing Department at our Downtown Jacksonville campus. This is a full-time night shift position, working Monday through Friday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical services by ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and available for patient care.
As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include- Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
- Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization
- Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods
- Operate sterilization equipment while following established protocols
- Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices
- Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
- 1-2 years Instrument Experience
- 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience
High School
High School Diploma
