Senior Developer, ServiceNow

Overview

ICE Corporate Systems is actively recruiting a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service Now Developer to lead the design and development of scalable, enterprise-grade solutions on the Service Now platform. This role focuses exclusively on application development and platform customization. You will collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and with QA teams to ensure high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive innovation and technical excellence, ensure platform stability, and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Leadership
• Lead technical design sessions and contribute to architectural decisions for new and existing Service Now capabilities.
• Lead large complex projects and effectively communicate status updates to management/stakeholders.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards across the team.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the Service Now development team.
• Solution Delivery
• Design, develop, and implement complex Service Now solutions using best practices and maintainable code.
• Build and enhance custom applications, integrations, and automation workflows using Service Now Studio, Flow Designer, and scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs).
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with platform architects and security teams to ensure compliance and performance.
• Work closely with QA teams to support testing efforts, resolve defects, and ensure successful deployments.
• Maintain documentation for developed solutions and technical designs.
• Continuous Improvement
• Stay current with Service Now platform updates and recommend adoption of new features.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and scalability standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Service Now development.
• Expertise in scripting (JavaScript, Glide Script), Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Policies.
• Expertise in using Service Now components such as App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, UI Builder, Configurable Workspace, Script Editor and Portal Design.
• Strong experience with Service Now integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub.
• Proven ability to design and implement custom scoped applications.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Dev Ops practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience working in Agile tools (JIRA) and leading technical projects.
• Experience working with advanced Service Now modules such as HRSD, CSM, or Sec Ops.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments with multiple Service Now instances.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex tasks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams.
• Strong personal initiative and willingness to take on responsibility.
• Ability to prioritize work efficiently without direct management guidance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Service Now Certified System Administrator strongly preferred
• Service Now Certified Application Developer strongly preferred
