Job Description

The Financial Systems Manager (FSM) - ERP PPM & P2P is responsible for the strategic management, optimization, and support of Oracle ERP Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) modules within the Finance department.

Job Summary

The FSM is the primary contact for the company’s financial systems, covering configuration, accounting, reporting, and end‑user support for PPM and P2P. The role leads cross‑functional teams to integrate processes, drive system enhancements, manage upgrades, troubleshoot, and document solutions. It also provides on‑call support during off business hours on a rotational schedule, manages M&A implementations, coordinates quarterly testing, and ensures compliance with audit, security, and policy requirements.

Collaboration with stakeholders identifies process improvement opportunities, drives quality support and training, and translates business needs to technical solutions. Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and responsibility are essential.

Job Duties
  • Lead implementation, configuration, and optimization of Oracle ERP PPM and P2P modules.
  • Manage and participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Coordinate with users to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, functional specifications, and user guides.
  • Provide training and support to end users.
  • Monitor performance and resolve technical issues with IT and Oracle support.
  • Ensure compliance with audit controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess impact of change requests, manage updates, integrations, and testing.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues collaboratively.
  • Lead project direction, planning, resource allocation, and assignment for PPM and P2P initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, FPA, and procurement teams to increase efficiencies.
  • Maintain data, application, and report security procedures and respond to inquiries.
  • Engage with senior management or audit for security requests.
  • Participate in internal audits, presenting evidence of processes and reports.
  • Develop strategies to grow adoption of Oracle ERP modules and emerging technologies.
  • Train team members on audit‑conform ant processes, documentation, and improvements.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets, staffing plans, and recommendations.
  • Lead data stewardship across business owners for data integrity and validation.
  • Oversee functionality and enhancements impacting general ledger or sub‑ledger systems.
  • Participate on vendor/customer advisory boards when available.
  • Assist with creation and preparation of the annual system budget.
  • Provide on‑call support during off business hours.
  • Analyze support trends, recommend improvements, and solve problems.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Monitor and provide performance feedback to Financial Systems Analysts.
  • Ensure Analysts are effectively trained on PPM and P2P systems.
  • Prepare and conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Assist Analysts with workload prioritization, communication, and delegation.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology preferred, or
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with ten (10) or more years of experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with financial systems (with degree) or ten (10) or more years without a degree.
  • Three (3) or more years in a managerial or supervisory role preferred.
  • Prior experience within a professional services, accounting, financial services, advisory, or banking firm preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s)
  • Oracle ERP certification in PPM or Procurement preferred.
Software
  • Proficient in Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP PPM (required).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite—Excel, Word, PowerPoint (required).
  • Proficient in Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP P2P (preferred).
  • Proficient in Dev Ops (preferred).
