We are seeking a Skilled Network Administrator with a strong focus on firewall administration, specializing in the support, maintenance, and optimization of Palo Alto Networks security platforms. The ideal candidate has experience configuring next-generation firewall policies, conducting threat prevention, managing VPNs, and performing rule audits and log analysis. This role works closely with security teams and other IT stakeholders to ensure a secure, compliant, and resilient network perimeter through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.

• Configure, monitor, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including rule sets, security profiles, and threat prevention features.
• Perform firewall audits, rule reviews, software updates, and log/traffic analysis.
• Assist in firewall segmentation projects, VPN setup, and remote access security.
• Respond to and support incident response efforts related to firewall or perimeter breaches.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure policy alignment and compliance with internal standards.
• Monitor firewall performance and optimize configuration for security and efficiency.
• Create and maintain detailed firewall documentation, including network diagrams and change logs.
• Support other network components as required, including routers, switches, and VPN gateways.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and emergency operations procedures.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, tools, and Palo Alto feature releases.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and 2+ years of professional experience in a network administration role in a large enterprise environment.

• 6 years combined education, training, and experience in supporting and maintaining enterprise network systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewall platforms.
• Familiarity with routing protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, STP) and Layer 2/3 network architecture.
• Experience with VPNs, security segmentation, and firewall rule lifecycle management.
• Solid understanding of network monitoring and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).

• Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g., PCNSA, PCNSE).
• Experience supporting QoS, voice-over-IP, or converged network environments.
• Familiarity with incident response protocols and SIEM systems.
• Knowledge of industry best practices for network security compliance and data protection.

• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) – preferred
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) – preferred
• Any additional network/security certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+) – beneficial
• Solid grasp of network operating systems, protocols, and security layers.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficiency in documenting technical procedures, configurations, and incidents.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and provide technical mentorship when needed.
