OpportunityAs an EY SAP Technology Presales, you directly help EY & clients with a highly efficient, optimised and precise pursuit proposals that leverage EY’s Technology assets and capabilities to transform and manage their business.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Client Interaction:
As a trusted advisor, harvest requirements from the client, translate them into a solution that meets agreed objectives, and lead the technology aspect of the pursuit team. Serve as a liaison among business partners, delivery leadership, and pursuit stakeholders. - Pursuit shaping:
Provide guidance for solution & pursuit definition, presales thought leadership, and assess technical delivery possibilities and costs for critical business solution implementations using EY Technology products, tools & processes. - Technology Presales development:
Work with internal stakeholders (Product Owners, Business Owners, EY SAP Delivery Teams, and GDS) to envision, design and develop pursuit designs and responses focused on EY’s SAP delivery and technology capabilities for enterprise, industry, platform and solutions. Address identified technology gaps through established innovation and product channels.
- Presales / Pursuit Architecture & Solutioning for mid to large‑scale pursuits.
- Provide thought leadership in pursuit and business teams during deal development, pursuit & close phases.
- Deep understanding of SAP Technology and EY’s SAP drivers, products, tools & processes.
- Establish presales standards, guidelines and procedures to increase success rate of client pursuits.
- Hands‑on creation of end‑to‑end solution architecture aligned with client EA and IT roadmap.
- Shape RFP responses and bring incisive insights from technical experience.
- Deliver objective analysis and actionable recommendations in underpinned solutions.
- Document present and target architecture, transition steps and address technology gaps.
- Identify ways to reduce costs and bring efficiencies through technical expertise.
- Pro‑actively contribute to the presales community and mentor new technology presales architects.
- Maintain relationships with delivery and competence centre teams to ensure solutions follow approved designs throughout the application life cycle.
- Collaborate with technology product teams, influence product backlogs and priorities.
- Knowledge of industry solutions / products.
- Strong tech background – experience in deal development, architecture & strategy or technology start‑up.
- Experience on large‑scale multi‑technology, data, analytics deals.
- All‑round expertise – applications, infrastructure, digital, security.
- Technical / data / application / integration architecture experience.
- Responding to RFPs, shaping client proposals.
- Expertise in solution write‑up and client presentations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Business acumen and ability to develop strategic customer relationships.
- Ability to identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Awareness of portfolio management principles and tools.
- Organised, methodical, and detail‑oriented.
- Leadership & negotiating skills; influence and networking capabilities.
- Understand influence without authority (individual contributor role).
- Experience with offshore/onsite working models and diverse geographies.
- Certifications or experience in Agile Delivery and Dev Ops desirable.
- Architectural training / certifications such as TOGAF or IASA desirable.
- Knowledge of ITIL V3/V4 service management framework desirable.
- Regular international and domestic travel.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 15+ years of technology, business development & thought leadership.
- A comprehensive compensation and benefits package in the U.S. with a base salary range of $138,200 to $266,000, varying by location.
