As an EY SAP Technology Presales, you directly help EY & clients with a highly efficient, optimised and precise pursuit proposals that leverage EY’s Technology assets and capabilities to transform and manage their business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Interaction:
    As a trusted advisor, harvest requirements from the client and translate these into a solution that meets objectives and principles agreed with the client. Lead the technology aspect of a pursuit as part of a pursuit team, leveraging technical knowledge and EY’s SAP technology capabilities/products. Act as a technical liaison among business partners, delivery leadership and pursuit stakeholders.
  • Pursuit shaping:
    Contribute to architecture and solution design across the pursuit lifecycle. Provide guidance for solution and pursuit definition, presales thought leadership, and assess technical delivery possibilities and costs for top critical business solutions using EY Technology products, tools and processes.
  • Technology Presales development:
    Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product Owners, Service Lines, EY SAP Delivery Teams, Global Delivery Services). Envision, design and develop pursuit design and response with a focus on EY’s SAP delivery and technology capabilities for enterprise, industry, platform and solutions. Address identified technology gaps through established channels such as Innovation and product capabilities.
Essential Functions of the Job
  • Presales / Pursuit Architecture & Solutioning for mid to large scale pursuits
  • Provide thought leadership during deal development, pursuit & close phases
  • Deep understanding of SAP Technology and EY’s SAP drivers, products, tools & processes to stitch the right solution
  • Establish Presales standards, guidelines and procedures to increase pursuit success
  • Hands-on in creating end-to-end solution architecture aligned with client EA and IT Roadmap
  • Shape RFP responses with incisive Tech insights
  • Provide objective analysis and actionable recommendations in the form of underpinned solutions
  • Evaluate current and transition architectures and roadmap steps toward Target Architecture
  • Address technology gaps and coordinate with innovation/product teams to mitigate risks
  • Understand emerging technologies and their business/IT value impact
  • Identify ways to reduce costs with EY’s technical & business architecture expertise
  • Contribute to Presales community development and onboard new Presales Architects
  • Maintain relationships with delivery/competence centre teams and ensure solutions follow approved designs throughout the application life cycle
  • Interact with stakeholders on presales issues and strategic improvements
  • Coach business owners and pursuit leads on technology presales
  • Document pursuit/architecture and roadmaps using templates and standards
  • Identify and mitigate technology issues and risks; obtain approvals when needed
  • Collaborate with Technology Product Teams to influence product backlogs and priorities
Skills And Attributes For Success
  • Knowledge of industry solutions/products
  • Strong technical background in deal development, architecture & strategy or related startup experience
  • Experience on large-scale multi-technology, data and analytics deals
  • Technology all-round expertise:
    Applications, Infrastructure, Digital, Security
  • Experience in architectural roles related to technology/data/application/integration
  • Responding to RFPs and shaping client proposals
  • Expertise in solution write-ups and client presentations
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build strategic client relationships through technical leadership
  • Ability to identify technical risks early and develop mitigation strategies
  • Awareness of portfolio management principles, tools and techniques
  • Organized and methodical with the ability to plan and execute under uncertainty
