As a Deployment Engineer, you will work with a dynamic team of system experts on Advent Software’s suite of cloud services, deploying and supporting SS&C Advent’s hosted client environments (Advent Outsourcing Services, or “AOS”). Technologies include Windows, Citrix Xen App, Active Directory, SQL Server, VMware vSphere, Net App, Solar Winds, Jenkins, and Chef. You will troubleshoot applications, perform upgrades and patches, update runbooks, optimize workflows, and automate repetitive tasks.

You will also install and configure Advent’s proprietary applications and collaborate on client implementation and upgrade projects.

• Deploy and support SS&C Advent’s hosted client environments (AOS), including application troubleshooting, upgrades and patches
• Assist in testing and updating existing runbooks
• Proactively look to optimize workflows and automate repetitive tasks
• Install and configure Advent’s proprietary applications
• Collaborate with team members on client implementation and upgrade projects
• Develop and follow detailed project plans, schedules and related project documentation

• Expertise in installing and administering SS&C Advent APX, Moxy and Geneva is a plus
• Experience with Windows system administration in an enterprise environment
• Understanding of scripting and automation technologies (Chef, Jenkins, Shell Script)
• Excellent problem analysis and hands‑on creative solutions, designs and implementations
• Effective communication skills, both internally and with clients
• Experience managing cloud environments utilizing Windows, Citrix and VMware
• Detail oriented and results‑driven self‑starter who can work independently in a collaborative environment
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and deliver results with high quality
