The Content Management Consultant will facilitate and drive collaboration between JEA departments and Technology Services to deliver essential Office 365 projects and solutions, supporting JEA’s Information Governance program. The role involves discovery, analysis, design, and implementation of solutions aligned with business needs, and serves as a liaison and advocate between technology and business units.

Responsibilities
  • Consult with business unit customers on the design and implementation of solutions based on Microsoft Technologies, particularly SharePoint and Office 365.
  • Build relationships with departmental customers to understand needs and develop solutions, acting as a departmental advocate to spearhead ideas and implement solutions.
  • Determine business requirements to support the creation of project plans and timescales for delivery, implementation, and configuration of deliverables.
  • Understand the organizational/department(s) vision and deliver customer‑focused presentations and workshops to demonstrate options, manage and define milestones, deadlines, and scope of projects.
  • Research and collect detailed technical and user requirements, analyze them, translate needs into programmable solutions, and ensure the identified solutions meet expectations and needs.
  • Manage the information governance, records management, and eDiscovery components within Microsoft 365 Purview Compliance Center.
  • Work with Technology Services and business unit customers to research, construct, design, test, and implement systems that enable and support business functions and technical environment needs.
  • Design, erect, test, and implement the basic integrated solution and the distributed computing solutions on behalf of the business.
  • Test and monitor design solution performance, identify and resolve system problems on behalf of the business.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain JEA’s records management processes for the capture, classification, accessibility, protection, retention, and defensible disposition of records and information.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
  • Manage and oversee Office 365 migrations and upgrades.
Skills and Abilities
  • End‑to‑end records management in Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to translate business needs and requirements into viable technology solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of information governance standards, principles, and best practices.
  • Proven analytical skills to work with a customer to understand needs and requirements.
  • Skilled in defining an appropriate solution and overseeing its delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team‑oriented attitude to train others involved in the program, with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work across a broad range of Microsoft products and solutions.
  • Ability to engage and manage a technical project team.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, communications, public policy, information/data sciences, legal studies, or a related field.
  • Eight (8) years of business experience with demonstrated results in information governance (utility/public sector work experience preferred). Equivalently combined education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
  • Preferred certifications:
    Information Governance, Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Information Professional (CIP), Information Governance Professional (IGP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (5‑level license), Advanced Compliance, eDiscovery, and Information Governance.

This position reports to the Director of Information Governance.

This position may represent JEA in local, state, and/or national forums.

Location:

Jacksonville, FL | Salary: $105,000–$110,000
