Summary

The IT Technician ensures system operation and functionality to enable end users to accomplish business tasks. Responsibilities include responding to support requests promptly, serving as the first point of contact for IT support tickets, and ensuring end-user satisfaction, among other technical duties.

IT Technicians should possess good interpersonal skills, interacting daily with colleagues from various departments, executives, and customers.

  • Support incoming requests via phone, web portal, or email, ensuring courteous and effective resolution.
  • Set up systems for new hires across multiple client environments.
  • Prioritize incidents and requests to meet SLAs.
  • Use remote tools and diagnostics to resolve support requests.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including hardware repairs and peripheral delivery.
  • Install and configure hardware and software across network devices.
  • Deploy and manage cybersecurity software.
  • Administer servers using Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, DHCP.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals.
  • Support network configurations, including VLANs and VPNs.
  • Build good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to client locations.
  • Ensure safety and security standards are met.
  • Possess a college diploma or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and Mac OS.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory is a plus.
  • Some understanding of networking devices and appliances.
  • Kaseya RMM and Autotask PSA experience is a plus.
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications are preferred but not required.

Compensation: $56,000 - $63,000 per year
