Lead Specialist, Third Party Risk Management

We are looking for a Lead Specialist to join our Managed Services practice in the KPMG Advisory practice. This role focuses on vendor and third‑party security assessments, business continuity planning, and client engagement in a managed‑services context. We value adaptability, collaboration, and a client‑centric culture.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with onshore engagements and clients directly performing vendor or third‑party security assessments, and perform remote assessments independently
  • Draft assessment reports based on remote reviews and perform second‑level quality reviews of reports written by peers and junior resources
  • Conduct business continuity planning and disaster recovery implementation and review experience
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams; support the current team with engagement execution and client portfolio management
  • Lead and manage client engagements with a focus on delivering high‑quality service in a managed‑services environment
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of recent information security governance, privacy, compliance, and security assessment experience, with focus on IT and IS risk assessments and program reviews; consulting experience with a large firm is preferable
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIPP, ISO 27001, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Master's degree preferred;
    Bachelor's in information security, computer science, engineering, or related field required
  • Experience assessing against standards such as ISO/IEC 27002, BS 7799, BS 25999, NIST 800‑53, PCI‑DSS, and PCI‑DoD; familiarity with business continuity management and compliance frameworks
  • Strong client interaction skills, both written and verbal; fluent in English
  • Ability to travel as required; authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
