CTG Mainframe Administrator

CTG is seeking to fill a Mainframe Administrator position for our client.

Ongoing contract

• Manage, configure, and maintain mainframe storage systems
• Administer DASD, Tape, and Virtual Tape subsystems
• Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability
• Support backup/restore systems, disaster recovery, and storage replication
• Implement storage standards, policies, and best practices
• Provide troubleshooting and resolution for storage-related issues
• Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and application teams to ensure storage reliability and efficiency

• Deep expertise with mainframe storage technologies
• Strong working knowledge of DFSMS, DFHSM, RACF, and SMS
• Proficiency with Tape Management Systems such as CA1 or RMM
• Hands‑on experience with DASD, VTS, and EMC/IBM storage platforms
• Skilled in performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
• Strong analytic, communication, and documentation abilities

• 10+ years of hands‑on MF (Mainframe) technologies experience
• Demonstrated experience in DR planning and execution
• Must be non‑visa dependent (USC, GC, GC‑EAD)
• Must be local to one of the listed locations and able to work onsite 3 days/week

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60.00 to $70.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
