Program Consultant - Consumer, Wealth, and Business Digital Banking
Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in multiple markets within the United States. The Program Consultant will sit within the Consumer, Wealth, and Business Digital Banking team under First Citizens Bank's Enterprise Digital organization. The Program Consultant is a servant leader and coach for their assigned portfolio. The role facilitates designated cadences, helps drive relentless improvement, captures and documents portfolio process changes, monitors overall portfolio health and value delivery.
Responsibilities
- Process Governance (20%)
- Document and maintain how the portfolio operates and include any approved changes into the portfolio processes
- Facilitate and guide a Portfolio Leadership Cadence to capture ideas on proposed process changes
- Build and execute plans to incorporate any approved changes into the Portfolio's operational structure
- Portfolio Reporting (20%)
- Create reports to show the portfolio's performance; this could include, but is not limited to, Annual Portfolio Delivery, Quarterly PI Performance, Data Quality, or otherwise designated
- Ensure reports are included in any necessary portfolio cadences and train team members in their use
- Agile Portfolio Operations (40%)
- Partner with all roles within the Portfolio to ensure a consistent and smooth flow of work from inception to delivery
- Coordinate with the Release Train Engineer on PI Planning preparations and event execution
- Engage Product Management to ensure:
- Epic readiness prior to PI Planning event
- Flow of work through the process is stable
- Adherence to documented standards is followed
- Alignment with EPO Project Manager on any required information
- Use empirical data to drive portfolio improvements
- Tools & Support (20%)
- Primary portfolio support for Jira & Confluence
- Ensure all tools used by the portfolio match the agreed upon processes
- All applicable roles trained in the use of the tools
- Build new capabilities within the toolset where applicable
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, Project Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, Project Management.
Required Area of
Experience:
Agile/Scrum Development + Methodologies, Jira, Confluence.
Preferred Area of
Experience:
Technology and Banking, Scrum Master.
Preferred Area of Study: Information Technology, Finance, Computer Science or similar degree.
Position Specific
Skills:
- License, Certification, Registration
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent
- Experience with:
- SAFe, Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban methodologies
- Quarterly planning setup, facilitation, and execution
- Strong Jira & Confluence experience, including:
- Building JQL filters
- Rich filter dashboards
- Jira Advanced Roadmaps
- Automation and workflow schemes
- Passion for driving value to customers
- Servant leader, leading by example and by actions
The base pay for this position is generally between $88,650 and $118,200. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non‑discriminatory factors. Compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
