Within the Chief Administrative (CAO) organization within the Chief Operating Office, the COO OM&AIM AI organization will drive the improvement of Operations and Controls processes within the Citi COO organization. The primary objective is to deliver demonstrable improvements in client and employee experience, controls, and efficiency by developing and executing the Target Operating Model for COO and driving the adoption of AI across the COO organization and broader Citi.
Job DescriptionThe Re‑engineering Process Sr Lead will be responsible for driving the improvement of Operations and Controls processes in the Citi COO organization and deliver demonstrable improvement in client and employee experience, controls and efficiency. This includes developing an AI and Tech Automation enablement framework and methodology, identifying and maintaining AI & Tech Automation opportunity pipeline across COO high impact processes and horizontals while driving common solutions across different use cases demonstrating key benefits across efficiency, client experience, and risk and control.
The role will also require partnering with Technology & external experts to embed AI & Automation use cases while increasing AI adoption and may also involve working with MRM to increase approval speed and break down barriers.
The Re‑engineering Process Sr Lead will connect “ready now” AI capabilities for quick implementation and identify patterns in Operations & Controls work, working with the Technology Automation Factory to quickly automate generating efficiency and improvements in client experience and risk and controls. Finally, this role will work closely with the AI champion for the COO Organization, partnering across the COO organization and broader Citi to drive adoption of an “AI first” mindset.
The role will report to the Head of COO OM & AI and work closely with the Enterprise AI office, the Technology organization and COO leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop AI and Tech Automation enablement framework and methodology
- Identify and maintain AI & Tech Automation opportunity pipeline across COO high impact processes and horizontals while driving common solutions across different use cases
- Establish and monitor targets for client, employees, control and efficiency metrics from AI & Tech Automation opportunities and adoption
- Develop roadmap for AI & Tech automation
- Conduct Technology & AI assessments by partnering with Citi Ventures, Technology, External Companies (e.g., Google, McKinsey, Deloitte, PwC, EY) ensuring best practices are adopted and delivered
- Upskill AI awareness and literacy across COO
- Work with MRM to increase approval speed and break down barriers
- Develop compelling executive presentations to persuade decision‑makers and share best practices and lessons learned across the enterprise
- Help lead the AI community within COO, inclusive of AI Accelerators, driving a culture of ideation and feedback among the community to ensure impact‑focused execution
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering or a related discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Banking, Financial Services
- Demonstrated consistent track record of having worked as a Product Manager, Program or Project Manager and Process Re‑engineering Manager on large, strategic Business Transformation cross‑functional projects
- Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and Technology Patterns
- Strategic and analytical thinker who is detail‑oriented and can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions and measurable metrics and then drive others to execute on those plans
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to influence and motivate others, delivering positive outcomes in complex projects involving business stakeholders, consumer technology partners, and global and regional collaborators
- Able to drive a challenger and catalyst focus during all interactions related to business transformation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey complex information simply and effectively with stakeholders at various levels of seniority and risk and control expertise
