WMS Testing Specialist

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will help validate a new SAP EWM solution by learning business processes, identifying system gaps, defects, and process issues before go-live.

Key Responsibilities Support testing activities for the SAP EWM implementation and rollout at a new distribution facility.

Learn and understand warehouse operational processes, workflows, and testing requirements.

Validate inbound, outbound, inventory, and internal warehouse transactions.

Test both desktop and RF scanner-based workflows.

Identify defects, process gaps, usability concerns, and unexpected system behaviors.

Work closely with business users, project teams, and testing leads throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Actively challenge the system by exploring exception scenarios and edge cases to ensure functionality is robust and ready for production use.

Provide detailed feedback and documentation on testing results.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integrated testing, and operational readiness activities.

Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or supply chain environment.

Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) as an end user.

Strong understanding of:
Inbound receiving processes

Outbound shipping processes

Internal warehouse movements

Inventory transactions

Cycle counting activities

Ability to quickly learn new business processes and system functionality.

Strong problem-solving skills and a naturally curious mindset.

Comfortable following test plans while also exploring scenarios outside of prescribed test cases

Preferred Qualifications Approximately 5+ years of warehouse or distribution operations experience.

Previous participation in a WMS implementation, upgrade, rollout, or testing project.

Experience with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).

Experience with other WMS platforms such as Blue Yonder, Manhattan, Korber, High Jump, Oracle WMS, or similar systems.

Inventory control, inventory analyst, inventory lead, or warehouse lead experience.

Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or system validation activities.
