Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct technical interviews for Data Engineering professionals specializing in Databricks, Lake Flow, dbt, Azure, and modern data platforms
. - Evaluate candidates' hands-on experience in migrating ETL pipelines from Workato to Databricks Lake Flow, including migration planning, dependency assessment, phased cutovers, rollback strategies, and parallel validation.
- Assess proficiency in building scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Databricks Lake Flow Connect, Declarative Pipelines, Delta Live Tables, and Databricks Workflows.
- Evaluate expertise in Python, advanced SQL, Delta Lake, and medallion architecture
, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers. - Assess practical experience with dbt, incremental data processing, change data capture (CDC), schema evolution, and data quality validation.
- Evaluate data modeling capabilities, including designing curated Gold-layer datasets, star schemas, and semantic models for Power BI reporting and analytics.
- Assess hands-on experience with Epicor Kinetic integrations, Business Activity Queries (BAQs), source data extraction, and Salesforce or comparable CRM integrations.
- Validate candidates' knowledge of Unity Catalog, access controls, data governance, data lineage, cataloguing, and platform security.
- Evaluate implementation experience with Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions and Databricks Asset Bundles.
- Assess experience delivering end-to-end ETL and platform migrations on Microsoft Azure, including production deployment, reconciliation, performance optimization, and issue resolution.
- Evaluate candidates' ability to establish coding standards, naming conventions, governance policies, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Assess problem-solving, system design, stakeholder communication, risk management, and technical decision-making skills through scenario-based interview questions.
- Verify candidates' ability to independently lead migration projects, manage delivery timelines, communicate risks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare structured interview feedback covering technical competency, hands-on implementation experience, project ownership, strengths, gaps, and overall suitability for the role.
- Provide clear hiring recommendations based on the candidate's alignment with mandatory technical requirements, particularly production-grade Databricks experience, hands-on dbt, Azure expertise, and end-to-end migration delivery
