We are seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Automation Engineer to help modernize and standardize cloud infrastructure across a large enterprise environment. This individual will be responsible for transforming manually managed Azure resources into reliable, scalable, and repeatable infrastructure through code-driven automation.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands‑on experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions within complex Azure environments. They will bring a practical engineering mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to implement solutions that improve consistency, governance, and operational efficiency.

This is a highly technical, hands‑on position requiring direct ownership of code development, deployment automation, infrastructure modernization, and production troubleshooting. The successful candidate must be comfortable making technical decisions, resolving complex infrastructure challenges, and communicating engineering best practices to technical stakeholders.

• Design, implement, and maintain automated Azure infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Develop and manage reusable Terraform modules and/or Bicep templates to support consistent provisioning of Azure resources.
• Assess existing cloud environments and transition manually configured infrastructure into version‑controlled, code‑managed solutions.
• Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of standardized Azure landing zones and foundational cloud architecture.
• Establish and maintain Git‑based development practices, including branching strategies, pull requests, peer reviews, and controlled change management.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure validation, testing, planning, and deployment.
• Implement infrastructure changes using structured release processes that minimize operational risk and service disruption.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure configuration drift, undocumented resources, inconsistent deployments, and legacy technical debt.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and determine appropriate strategies for resource adoption, code refactoring, migration, or replacement.
• Integrate Azure security, identity and access management, networking, governance, and policy requirements into automated deployment workflows.
• Investigate deployment failures, configuration inconsistencies, and unexpected infrastructure changes, implementing sustainable resolutions.
• Establish repeatable procedures for infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, version management, and ongoing operational support.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools when appropriate while independently reviewing generated code for accuracy, security, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to communicate design decisions, document implementation standards, and support adoption of infrastructure automation practices.

• Extensive hands‑on experience engineering and managing Azure infrastructure in enterprise‑scale environments.
• Strong practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.
• Working knowledge of Azure Bicep or similar infrastructure definition and provisioning technologies.
• Experience building reusable infrastructure modules, templates, variable structures, and standardized deployment configurations.
• Proficiency with Git‑based source control, including repository management, branching, pull requests, and code review processes.
