Position Summary

Boyd & Jenerette is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our team. & Commitments
  • Practice Area / Department: Litigation
  • Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week.
  • Work Location: Hybrid / In-Office options available for this position.
    • Must be able to commute to Jacksonville, FL office.
Responsibilities
  • Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
  • Manage discovery, including organizing, reviewing, and producing documents.
  • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other key case materials.
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and calendars.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts.
  • Track and record billable hours in accordance with firm guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Competencies
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of court and administrative proceedings.
  • Familiarity with lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and legal record maintenance.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Must meet billing goal expectations.
