Packaging Category Manager

We’re seeking a strategic and analytical Packaging Category Manager to join a growing team in Jacksonville, FL. This role will own the strategy and performance of the Packaging category, partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Purchasing, and suppliers to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with company growth and profitability goals
• Analyze sales, margins, rebates, inventory turns, SKU performance, and supplier results
• Identify opportunities for product expansion, substitutions, preferred suppliers, private label, and cross‑selling
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while supporting negotiations and strategic programs
• Partner with Sales and Finance on customer‑specific inventory, pricing, profitability, and sourcing strategies
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, supplier performance, and competitive activity
• Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing solutions to improve competitiveness and reduce supply risk
• Use data and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in category management, supply chain, purchasing, sourcing, logistics, or data analytics
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets
• Experience with suppliers, vendors, purchasing, inventory, or category performance
• ERP, planning, or business intelligence experience is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Experience in wholesale distribution, paper, packaging, or related industries is a plus
