Summary
A leading mechanical service company in Florida is seeking a Project Manager to represent the Jacksonville area. The company is a full-service mechanical contractor providing HVAC, plumbing, piping and related mechanical construction and maintenance services for commercial and industrial projects. The position is primarily responsible for overseeing design-build, construction management, and construct-only projects from initial assignment through final completion.
Responsibilities- Prepare and submit monthly progress invoices and manage accounts receivable follow-up.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review, track, and manage project schedules to ensure timely execution.
- Oversee project budgets, purchasing, and cost control activities.
- Coordinate and manage the submittal process from preparation through approval.
- Administer purchase orders and oversee subcontractor agreements.
- Lead project planning efforts and maintain clear communication with internal project teams.
- Develop and maintain monthly financial forecasts for projects exceeding $100K.
- Support the contract review and compliance process.
- Price, document, and track change order requests (CORs).
- Ensure all project closeout documentation and requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Manage RFIs, including preparation, tracking, and resolution.
- Prior experience, leadership skills, and proven record of successful projects to manage large complex projects or multiple projects.
- Experience in overseeing the work of two (2) or more Assistant Project Managers.
- Bachelor”s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent required.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in construction, design, management, and finance.
- Prior experience managing resources including budgets, schedules, people, and materials in an environment of multiple, competing demands.
- Prior experience using Coins and Procore softwares is a plus.
