Job Description

AECOM Water seeks a highly qualified individual to lead growth and strategy for the US East Region Water Business. The VP will work closely with the Water Global Business Line Chief Executive, Water Global Director of Strategy and Growth, Regional Chief Executive for East & LATAM, US East Regional Business Line Leader, and the North America Strategy and Growth Team to plan, track, and implement short/medium/long‑term strategy, client development, and pursuit capture.

The role will interface with the East Regional Business Line Leader and Corporate Growth team to create and implement annual strategies, grow the Americas Client Account Manager program, and mature the US East Region Water pipeline, actively participating in capturing major pursuits. This position supports sales, capture, and internal/external marketing through market, client, and competitor intelligence and acts as a key connector among regional and Market Sector teams.

The candidate will influence and collaborate with regional water teams to achieve KPIs in growth and execution: net service revenue bookings, net service revenue, profit, EBITDA, and client satisfaction. The role can be located anywhere in the East Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Compliance – Adhere to AECOM Safety, Health & Environment policy, reporting hazards and participating in safety training.
  • Strategy Development – Develop, implement and track growth strategy and tactical plan with the Regional Business Line Leader.
  • Market Intelligence – Gather and analyze water market intelligence, competitor activity, and regulatory trends to inform strategy and sales.
  • Pipeline and Pursuit Management – Lead development and growth of the US East Region Water opportunity pipeline; guide capture teams and employ WINNING EDGE and Green Light tools.
  • Client Management – Partner with Water Global executives and CAMs to prioritize pursuits, strengthen client relationships, and support the CAM community.
  • Corporate Interface & Marketing – Ensure alignment with AECOM corporate calendar and develop marketing campaigns with the Marketing team.
  • Financial Oversight – Monitor growth KPIs, budget, and financial performance of initiatives.
  • Internal Collaboration – Function as a member of the US East Business Line Leadership Team and manage stakeholder relationships across AECOM.
  • Leadership & Influence – Model proactive, collaborative leadership, influence the US Water market, and coach others through consultative sales processes.
  • Any other duties reasonably required by AECOM.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS plus 12+ years of relevant experience, including 4+ years at Director/VP level.
  • Demonstrated sales production, business development strategy, team leadership, and client value proposition development.
  • Strong network in the Water industry with a record of winning major pursuits.
  • High energy, outgoing, self‑motivated, and able to lead multidisciplinary teams through consultative sales.
  • Proven track record of growing a significant business portfolio.
  • Experience in the global and/or Americas Water industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements.
  • Leadership skills encompassing technical, human relations, team building, and innovation.
  • Ability to listen actively, command attention, manage group processes, and communicate at all levels.
  • Knowledge of consulting and integrated delivery services markets.
