The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Job Summary

Manage the installation and operation of Motor Transport field maintenance shops, field recovery, and the control and operation of recovery and contact maintenance teams. Through subordinate supervisors and leads, coordinate activities of workers engaged in servicing, storing, and repairing Motor Transport equipment to achieve optimal use of equipment, facilities, and personnel, while supporting tools and special test equipment. Interprets specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.

Ensure all completed work is in compliance with specifications and time schedules. Review and analyze financial and operations reports to determine requirements and make recommendations to management to improve overall efficiency. Assist in the approval of requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within budget limits. Perform administrative management tasks and prepare related reports. Assist in the formulation of administrative and operations policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety rules and government regulations.

Provide technical guidance and make decisions where written guidelines are not available. Plan and manage human resource activities within the assigned area, enforce performance objectives, supervise direct reports, and oversee requisitioning and allocation of tools and parts. Maintain MPF ISO-9002 policies and procedures and ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, formalized training, or education and directly related work experience may be considered.
• Eight years of directly related work experience, including four years of supervisory experience in a motor transport environment.
• Completion of the motor transport maintenance officer course or equivalent.
• Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
• Ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare part needs.
• Ability to analyze maintenance repair or operation to determine improvement methods.
• Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and be CAC eligible.
