Corestream partners with a broad network of insurance carriers and voluntary benefit providers to power the benefits programs we deliver for our clients. As that network grows, we need someone to own it end-to-end: building consistent, reliable relationships with our partners, running point when things go wrong, and putting the processes and infrastructure in place for our provider operations to scale.
We're hiring a Director, Carrier Management to be that owner. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the center of our provider ecosystem - part relationship manager, part project manager, part problem-solver - and a critical partner to our implementation, account management, and customer support teams.
Location:Corestream is headquartered in Tampa, FL but with a significant population of employees based all over the country. Being based in Tampa is not a requirement to apply!
Your Mission- Own the end-to-end process for onboarding new providers - for both new and existing products - and offboarding providers being retired, leading provider-side collaboration on launches in close coordination with our implementation team to keep every launch on schedule.
- Design and continuously refine our carrier and provider vetting/onboarding process - criteria, steps, and documentation - as our partner ecosystem grows.
- Act as the project management function for all carrier-related initiatives: maintain a single source of truth for what's in flight, hold cross-functional teams accountable to deadlines, and surface risk before it becomes a missed date.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with our top provider partners through a regular meeting cadence and clear, current project tracking.
- Serve as the central point of contact between carriers/vendors and internal teams, making sure product updates, plan changes, and supporting materials are communicated, documented, and kept current across the organization.
- Serve as the definitive escalation point for carrier and vendor issues - pushing back directly with vendors, escalating to their leadership when needed, and closing the loop with whichever internal team raised the issue.
- Track and report on provider/vendor performance (e.g., responsiveness, issue resolution) to identify and address underperforming partners.
- Establish a recurring, business-review-style cadence with provider partners - a dedicated forum, distinct from day-to-day check-ins, where performance is reviewed and open items get resolved.
- Build and maintain documented playbooks and escalation paths for each provider, so critical knowledge isn't dependent on any one person.
- Own the strategy behind our presence at benefit fairs — evaluating and improving collateral, designing engagement tactics, and measuring what's actually working
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives from planning through completion, managing timelines and dependencies, driving accountability across teams, and maintaining clear, centralized project documentation and status tracking.
- A track record of building and sustaining trust with external partners over time - including through difficult conversations.
- Proven ability to build alignment and drive action across multiple teams and stakeholders, including influencing…
