Pay Range: $66,000.00/yr – $/yr
- Design and plan layouts for assembly and materials handling.
- Document sequence of operations and specification procedures for fabrication tools and equipment.
- Provide design guidance to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Adapt machine and equipment designs to factory and production standards.
- Conduct detailed design work focused on the layout of assembly and materials handling operations.
- Improve production methods to reduce waste.
- Assist in developing time and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with Operations, EH&S, Quality, and other stakeholders to create a safe, efficient work environment.
- Assume leadership responsibility for all build‑related issues.
- Track manufacturing-related issues and ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Drive product quality improvements through process development, including Level‑Two mistake proof implementation where possible.
- A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years in Composite Manufacturing Engineering, including creation and optimization of composite manufacturing procedures and processes, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Approximately two years of experience working on engineering/manufacturing projects.
- Experience writing standard work instructions/SOPs.
- Prior experience with fiberglass, carbon fiber, or rubber materials.
- Experience with mechanical fabrication and assembly.
- Experience designing, laying out, and troubleshooting manufacturing cells.
- Process improvement experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- CAD experience (Solid Works, AutoCAD).
