Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced First Class Sheet Metal Workers for projects located in and around Newport News, VA
. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $40.97/hour based on experience plus $140/day per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

• Installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads and shipboard furniture
• Sheet metal fabrication shop work
• Comprehend complex ventilation, assembly drawings, blueprints & sketches to include weld symbols, material, types, datum and reference lines
• Layoff piece parts for fabrication and assembly
• Assemble piece parts in accordance with specifications in a quality manner
• Use small hand tools electric drills grinders rivet guns and shop equipment drill press press break Shears etc

• 3+ years of experience as a First Class Sheet Metal Worker
• Ability to read complex ventilation drawings, blueprints, and sketches (including weld
  -symbols and material types)
• Proficient with fractional and decimal dimensions
• Skilled in fabricating and assembling parts according to specifications
• Experience in physically demanding environments
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations for shipbuilding
• Experience using hand tools, electric drills, grinders, rivet guns, and shop equipment (drill press, press brake, shears, etc.)
