Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or 4+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer).
• 3 or more years of experience in injection molding process development and mold debugging in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of thermoplastics, mold design, and injection molding equipment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• RJG Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• Master Molder certification or Scientific Molding training.

Job Description

One of Insight Global's large medical device manufacturing companies is seeking an Injection Molding Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for:

• Supporting development, validation, and optimization of injection molds and components in a regulated medical manufacturing environment.
• Support new product launches and troubleshoot current production challenges.
• Conduct mold validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) to meet FDA and ISO 13485 standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, Quality, Tooling, Manufacturing) to ensure manufacturability.
• Analyze molding issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is a 12‑month contract with conversion or extension. It is 5 days per week onsite in Jacksonville, FL. The schedule is standard business hours Monday‑Friday. The pay rate is starting at $40‑$45/ hour dependent on experience and skillset.
