Responsibilities- Requires thorough comprehension in reading, interpreting engineering drawing repair manuals, and related technical data, and a thorough knowledge of and skill in the use of tools and techniques of rework and repair.
- Must be capable of training, teaching, and mentoring junior‑level machinists to ensure proficiency.
- Inspect and correct work done by other machinists.
- Requires knowledge and probable effects of various loads and stresses applied to structures, such as compression, tensile, and shear, and the ability to recognize an overloaded or over stressed condition.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Machinist I.
- A background in commercial or military aircraft manufacturing/repair/installation is preferred.
