The Supervisor leads a team of outside machinists focused on nonmilitary vessels such as commercial tugs, offshore supply ships and privately owned vessels. Key responsibilities include monitoring workflow, supervising daily operations, evaluating performance, coordinating hiring and managing production improvements.

• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to team members.
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
• Supervise all assigned team members in their daily duties.
• Complete annual performance evaluations using the skills matrix.
• Provide hiring input to the department manager.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results.
• Ensure safe equipment use, coordinate regular maintenance and monitor production output.
• Track absenteeism, enforce company policies and resolve employee relations issues.

• Minimum high‑school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5‑year experience as Ship Repair Outside Machinist Supervisor.
• Leadership, performance management and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in commercial vessel repair is a plus.

Full‑time salary range: $73,778 – $125,422.
