Machinist

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Shear/Punch Operator or Machinist to support manufacturing operations for a growing fabrication environment. This individual will be responsible for setting up and operating shear, punch, and related fabrication equipment to produce quality parts according to engineering drawings and production specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in metal fabrication, can interpret blueprints, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

• Operate shear, punch, and fabrication equipment to manufacture parts according to specifications and production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructions.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Perform machine setup, material loading, and routine equipment adjustments.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
• Assist with material handling and movement of fabricated components throughout the shop as needed.

• 1+ years of experience operating shear, punch, machining, or fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical work instructions.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
