MAJOR GOAL:
This position is responsible for accurate receiving, storing, shipping, repackaging, and palletizing of product to meet company standards of sanitation, safety, security and productivity.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Pick and pack (order picking and/or assembly of products in less than full case lots), light assembly (assembly of light mechanical or electrical component parts or sub-assemblies that may require the use of hand tools) and record storage.
* Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions.
* Repair and recoup damaged goods as required.
* Count all product, compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates.
* Report shortages, damages and miss-shipments on appropriate forms.
* Sign for inbound shipments when necessary.
* Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
* Efficiently stack and store merchandise.
* Ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked.
* Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
* Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.
* Stencil, tag or mark orders as required.
* Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
* Accept signature for outbound as necessary.
* Efficiently move product into trailers, rail cars or containers.
* Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
* Ensure proper stock rotation.
* Operate shrink-wrap machine.
* Charge forklift battery/gas tanks as needed; repair pallets when necessary; clean railcars, trailers, and truck bays as requested
* Maintain a clean neat and orderly work area
