St. Augustine Free Standing Emergency Room is anticipated to open Fall 2025. The ER Charge Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions at the Free Standing Emergency Room during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the ER CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization s vision, mission and values to support an outstanding patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Memorial Hospital has provided quality healthcare since 1969 and operates a 450+ bed facility with a Level II trauma center and multiple locations for 24-hour emergency care.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
  • Operationalizes current nursing strategies to improve engagement (e.g., employee rounding, hourly rounds, and related initiatives).
  • Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; supports training and development, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Assists with staff scheduling and manages practical aspects of staff labor to meet patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Supports inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program;
    Bachelor s Degree in Nursing or higher is required, or anticipated within 3 years of hire/transfer.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the practicing state or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
  • Current AHA/ACLS Health Care Provider certification is required.
  • Current AHA/PALS Health Care Provider certification is required.
  • Prior Emergency Room RN experience is required.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.

This is a Full Time, Night Shift position with 12-hour shifts (approximately 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Rotating weekends and holidays are required.
