Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center located in beautiful Northeast Florida is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our distinguished GYN Surgical Oncology Department in a full‑time position. The position focuses on GYN Surgical Oncology services, which includes benign and oncology care. Baptist MD Anderson has a modern 330,000 square foot patient‑centered, state‑of‑the‑art facility dedicated to meet the needs of its oncology patients.
Responsibilities- Patient population: women needing gynecologic surgical and medical oncology services.
- Inpatient:
The APP acts as the first assist in the OR. The APP is responsible for independent rounding on patients in the acute post operative phase who are admitted to the hospital, post‑operative wound care and pain management, timely collaboration with consulting physicians, coordinating discharge from the hospital, evaluating new consults. - OR:
Support as surgical first assist, laparoscopic and robotic surgical support when indicated. - Outpatient:
Evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians, as well as multidisciplinary team, completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion, performs clinic procedures as applicable. Manages the surgical and medical oncology needs of the gyn oncologic patient.
