Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center located in beautiful Northeast Florida is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our distinguished Urology faculty. The NP or PA will serve within the Urologic Oncology service line, providing comprehensive care across the continuum of the patient journey.

Responsibilities include managing acute urologic oncology cases, supporting patients during active treatment, and leading long‑term surveillance and survivorship follow‑up care.

• Patient population:
  Adult patients with urologic cancers including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular malignancies.
• Inpatient care:
  • First‑assistant in the OR (robotic, laparoscopic, open cases).
  • Rounding on post‑operative patients admitted to the hospital.
  • Post‑operative wound care and pain management.
  • Timely collaboration with consulting physicians.
  • Coordinating discharges from the hospital.
  • Evaluation of new consults.
• Outpatient care:
  • Evaluate new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Complete outpatient documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Perform clinic procedures as applicable.
• Hours:
  
  Monday – Friday.
• Shared night and weekend call: home call during the week, and weekend call with inpatient rounding and OR coverage for emergency cases.

• Education Required: Master’s Degree.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a first assist or RNFA.
• License & Certification:
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Florida licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
