HCA Healthcare invites you to join HCA Florida Memorial Hospital as a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN). As a key member of our dynamic medical, surgical, telemetry, and step‑down nursing teams, you will provide high‑quality patient care while maintaining flexibility across multiple units.
Job SummaryResponsibilities include:
- Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients.
- Respond to code blue events and initiate protocols for critical patients, including those in step‑down and progressive care units.
- Manage efficient patient flow: screening, preparation, general nursing care, admission, and testing.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patient records, including posting test and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (including phone triage when needed).
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited school.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or an active Compact/Multi‑State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- At least two (2) years of full‑time acute‑care hospital RN experience in a designated area.
Full‑time, Night Shift – 12‑hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Rotating weekends and holidays required.
