Overview
The staff Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) administers anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, as designated by the attending physician. The CRNA reports to the Chairman and the Chief Anesthetist for the Department of Anesthesia. Assignments are based on the age and developmental level of patients. The CRNA may assist in the evaluation of students.
QualificationsRequired Education: Master’s degree in Nursing
Preferred Education: N/A
Required Licensure/Certification s: Licensed to practice nursing in Florida, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
Preferred Licensure/Certification s: N/A
Required Experience: Less than one year of CRNA experience
Preferred Experience: N/A
Supervisory Responsibility: Supervise graduate students
