Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Day Shift
Join us as an LPN in Jacksonville, Florida to provide healthcare for individuals in the Jacksonville Pre‑Trial Detention Center. This day shift role starts at 7:00 am with rotating weekends and offers a $2.00/hour weekend differential.
Shift Details: 7:00 am – 7:30 am, rotating weekends, $2.00/hour differential for weekend days.
- Perform patient assessments, interview patients about current health problems, and medication history.
- Take vital signs: blood pressure, temperature, weight.
- Provide wound care, cleaning and bandaging.
- Administer medications including injections and monitor reactions.
- Maintain medical records via Tech Care electronic health record.
- Observe patient health and mental status.
- Provide emergency first aid.
- Educate patients and plan discharge/release.

Qualifications- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- State‑certified Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross preferred).
- Pass facility criminal background check and drug screening.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Code of Conduct and correctional policies.
- Visible integrity, professionalism, and teamwork with correctional officers.
- Ability to stand long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform CPR.
