• Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on patient care and workflow improvement.
• On‑call required during select non‑business hours.

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and peri‑operative process.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation: IV therapy, pre‑operative medications, surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification (briefing, time‑out, debriefing, universal protocols).
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care while managing evidence‑based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists, etc.
• Consistently apply nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout the shift, and thoroughly document changes and care provided.
• Educate patients and families/caregivers about patient’s medical condition, treatment and follow‑up measures.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Registered Nurse Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree.
