The staff Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) administers anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, as designated by the attending physician. The CRNA reports to the Chairman and the Chief Anesthetist for the Department of Anesthesia. Assignments are performed based on the age and developmental level of patients being served. The CRNA may assist in the evaluation of students.
Qualifications- Required
Education:
Associate's degree. Specific coursework:
Associate's degree in Nursing. - Required Licensure/
Certifications:
Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida. - Required Experience:
Less than one year Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist experience. - Supervisory Responsibility:
Supervise graduate students.
