Seeking an APP to join an expanding field within Cardiovascular Disease in the Cardiology‑Oncology specialty. This role will support clinic and hospital consult coverage in conjunction with other Cardio‑Onc experts. The field of Cardio‑Onc is fast growing and serves patients who have had or have active cancer and may have significant cardiovascular disease. This role provides variety of both outpatient and inpatient practice in which care is provided for patients long‑term in the outpatient setting, and also utilizes these skills as a hospital consult resource, along with one of our Cardio‑Onc physicians.

The Nurse Practitioner performs the following tasks in any authorized setting:
- Obtaining patient history
- Performing physical examinations
- Ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Formulating a diagnostic impression
- Developing and implementing a treatment plan
- Monitoring effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
- Offering counseling and education to meet patient needs
- Making appropriate referrals
- Prescribing and dispensing prescription medication
- Demonstrating ability to assess data reflective of patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to patient's age‑specific needs.

During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re‑record your answer to each question. Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording.
The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.
Nurse Practitioner: Masters‑prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, or ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications: Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
