PurposeOf Position
This role leads daily testing and inspection operations, ensures product conformance to UL standards and customer requirements, and supports quality, safety, delivery, and cost goals across all test areas. The supervisor manages test technicians, coordinates priorities with production, and drives consistent process execution across the value stream. The Quality Control Supervisor is a fully onsite role based out of our Jacksonville location and will report into our Test & Inspection Manager.
First shift hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm.
- Lead daily activities of Test Technicians and Inspectors supporting various product lines within the site.
- Align testing and inspection tasks with the production schedule and communicated priorities.
- Ensure adherence to UL standards, customer specifications, electrical testing requirements, and company policies.
- Oversee testing processes including hipot, megger, torque checks, functional testing, continuity inspections, and other required verifications.
- Verify all testing logs, data sheets, inspection forms, and digital entries are accurate and complete.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective or preventative actions for test or quality issues.
- Train and mentor team members on test procedures, safety practices, documentation, and equipment usage.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Project Management, and Materials teams to resolve test failures, part shortages, or missing documentation.
- Maintain test equipment readiness including calibration, safety checks, and proper storage.
- Monitor daily performance indicators including first‑time quality, test throughput, retest rates, and downtime.
- Communicate risk conditions, schedule conflicts, and equipment concerns to the Test and Inspection Manager.
- Support continuous improvement activities through accurate data collection and participation in process reviews.
- Enforce escalation procedures for safety events, quality issues, and critical equipment failures.
- Manage workforce expectations related to attendance, conduct, performance, and company policies.
