Senior Market Researcher to provide deep insights into our brand’s market position, identify growth opportunities, and understand evolving audience needs. Will shape brand strategy and guide strategic decisions across marketing, product, and brand positioning.
Responsibilities- Design and execute brand health tracking studies.
- Conduct audience research to identify target demographics, preferences, behaviours, and emerging trends.
- Analyze competitive landscapes and identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
- Develop and maintain research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and data analysis techniques.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders clearly and compellingly.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in market research tools and methodologies.
- Quantitative Methods – experience with surveys (Conjoint, Max Diff), structured interviews, and usage data analysis; knowledge of hypothesis development, sampling, weighting, statistical significance, regression, clustering, and thematic analysis.
- Qualitative Methods – focus groups, in‑depth interviews, ethnographic studies, and content analysis; ability to interpret open‑ended data into actionable insights.
- Secondary Research – literature reviews, industry report analysis, competitor benchmarking using databases such as Statista and IBISWorld.
- SEO and Social Listening Tools – familiarity with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Brandwatch, Mention for understanding online audience behaviour and brand sentiment.
- Competitive Analysis – conduct SWOT, market positioning maps, and benchmarking.
- Trend Forecasting – identify and interpret emerging trends.
- Customer Segmentation & Personas – segment markets and develop detailed personas.
- Insight Generation – synthesize findings into clear, actionable brand‑strategy insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or related field (Master’s is a plus).
- 7+ years of experience in market research, brand analysis, or similar role, preferably in tech.
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and insight generation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborative mindset in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, capable of managing multiple projects.
Base pay is within a range based on geographic market. Salary ranges (USD) for roles in San‑Francisco are $122,500 – $191,000. Outside California ranges from $101,000 – $181,000, and in Canada from $128,000 CAD – $169,500 CAD. Pay also includes equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
