RoleWe are seeking dedicated candidates for a Back of House Team Member Positions at Shipley Do-Nuts, located Jacksonville FL. As a BOH team member, you'll be at the heart of our kitchen operations — responsible for preparing our signature, handmade products with care, consistency, and pride. From frying and glazing do-nuts to baking kolaches and prepping ingredients, your work helps deliver the quality and joy our guests have loved since 1936.
The BOH positions include:
Baker, Fry, Cutter, Cake/Kolache, Icer.

This role plays a vital part in maintaining food quality, kitchen safety, and supporting a high-performing team that works with purpose and pride.
Essential Functions- Prepare, fry, glaze, and finish all do-nuts and kolaches to Shipley’s standards.
- Ensure every product meets appearance, temperature, and taste guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment (mixers, fryers, ovens) safely and correctly.
- Follow detailed prep lists and maintain stock of fresh ingredients.
- Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
- Keep kitchen areas clean, organized, and ready for service.
- Monitor waste and work efficiently to minimize it.
- Communicate with FOH team to ensure smooth service and product availability.
- Take ownership of your station — and pride in your work
- Provide excellent customer service
- Assist in making sure fresh items are kept in stock and discard old items
- Inform management of operational issues
- Other duties as reasonably assigned by the team lead and/or general manager of the restaurant
- You enjoy working with your hands and being on your feet
- You bring a calm, focused energy to fast-paced environments
- You’re dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in doing things right
- You enjoy working behind the scenes but understand your work is front and center for the guest experience
- You’re coachable, adaptable, and eager to grow
- Kitchen or bakery experience is a plus, but not required — we’ll train the right person
- Dependable, punctual, and hardworking with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working early mornings and in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for quality and commitment to food safety and cleanliness
- Team player with a positive, respectful attitude
