We are looking for a MEAT CUTTER to join our Rowe’s team. The purpose of this position is to ensure the quality, freshness, safety, and profitability of Rowe’s fresh‑cut meat products. Attention to detail is necessary, as you will prepare all cuts of beef, pork, and poultry for sale in the meat service cases. This is a skilled craftsperson role that follows the market manager’s merchandising plan and trim/preparation standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers and answering questions with a positive attitude.
• Cut and prepare all varieties and cuts of meat while safely operating cutting equipment.
• Move and return meat to and from coolers/ cutting area.
• Maintain high sanitization and presentation standards.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.
• Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
• Assist as needed to ensure the success of the store.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to deliver friendly and prompt customer service.
• Ability to read, write, and do simple math.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and problem‑solve.
• Ability to work well with others and as part of a team.

• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Prior experience is preferred.

Meat Cutters perform duties primarily in the cutting area, where the temperature always ranges from 38 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Work involves reaching, bending, balancing, and carrying product weighing up to 100 pounds, repetitive arm and hand movements, eye‑hand coordination, significant hand strength, and standing in place for long periods of time.
