Position: Full‑time, Licensed Optician
The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. They create exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high‑quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities- Welcome customers and set expectations.
- Custom‑fit glasses; precisely place prescription lenses.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen.
- Take and record measurements; accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail.
- Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
- Use technology efficiently under time pressure, maintaining exceptional product knowledge.
- Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward‑think, and ensure customers are satisfied.
- Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies.
- Help keep store open, clean, attractive, and organized.
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Show resourcefulness and self‑motivation with a desire for continual learning and improvement.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- State licensure.
- Experience in optical dispensing.
- Strong customer‑service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Selling skills—ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
- Embrace new technology and change.
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
